Pain is an unpleasant sensation often caused by intense or damaging stimuli such as stubbing a toe, burning a finger, putting alcohol on a cut, and bumping the “funny bone.
So why do we run or stray away from Pain?
Pain in both physical, mental or emotional, hurts(lol no shit). We have been trained from a young age to fear pain in its most basic form, example : sticking your finger in a fan, it looks painful and feels painful. Both the sense of touch and sight, frighten a person from touching that fan.
How this relates to success: A person does not simply say that they are going to have a successful career or relationship and have one. No. Its more deep seeded than that, there needs to be motivation, in that relationship or career. Example: In a career a boss doesn’t want a worker that is argumentative, that is going to defy any rules or task’s they set out. Why would they hire that person?? A worker needs to be able to width stand the pain of maybe staying up that extra 2 hours perfecting that speech he or her is going to give at that business meeting, why? Because they want to be special, they want to succeed at their vocation, their job. And who doesn’t want to be good at their job. Another aspect is FEAR OF PAIN, this motivates the worker to perform better than others, because they fear the outcomes if they don’t. Example: they could get sacked for giving a crappy speech, this could leave them broke and facing fianancial instability.
My message to you, Face your fears, Push the boundaries of physical and mental pains and you will succeed in anything you commit your mind and body to.
